manager of the institution: Levente Nagy-Pál
The Practice Ice rink is located in district XIV, on the grounds of the Olympic Centre of Budapest. It is accessible by car on Istvánmezei street from the direction of Thököly street.
Public transportation: take the BKV bus No. 7 to Cházár András street, from there walk down on Szabó József street passing the Millenáris and the Kisstadion to reach the Ice rink in a couple of minutes.
The Practice Ice rink is above all used by the various branches of the Hungarian National Skating Federation – short-track, figure skating, ice dancing, synchronized skating – for trainings and contests. Since the course is equipped with a soft board fence for short-track skating, unique in Europe, the hockey teams are only allowed to hold trainings without pucks here.
Many clubs hold their skating courses in the Ice rink. These courses are primarily for the children but adults can sign up as well.
The National Sports Centres undertakes the organization of conferences and business sporting events in the institution if required.
